Archives

Programmes The archives comprise theatre programmes and leaflets from German speaking theatres from the 18th century onwards. They are arranged according to places, theatres and seasons and are thus accessible. There is no catalogue.

Reviews The vast archives are comprised of millions of reviews from German speaking theatres from the end of the 19th century onwards. They are sorted by names of dramatists they refer to.

Original writings The archives of original writings consist of about 40.000 autographs, most of them from German speaking theatre artists dating from the 18th century to the present. Material can be found via the authors names or, in case of letters, via the writer's or the addressee's name. The autographs have been catalogued. In addition to that they have been registered in the central collection of original writings of the Staatsbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz Berlin.
